My Albums of 2008

許多傳奇人物先後於2008抵達了五十大關。

譬如生日只差兩週的Madonna與Michael Jackson，英倫搖滾教父Paul Weller、樂壇鬼才Prince與Sonic Youth主腦Thurston Moore，都不約而同走到人生半百的「後中年」階段。有人大肆慶祝、有人低調度過，重視程度各自有別。

活到五十歲仍在台上發光發熱，持續啟發著後進，是每名樂手夢寐以求的。而一間獨立廠牌跨越了二十年寒暑，不被時代淘汰，還直挺挺站在潮流第一線，同屬不易。西雅圖名廠Sub Pop就是這樣一則經典個案。

除了舉辦系列演出，歡慶20歲生日，2008幾張重量級的獨立搖滾作品，如Fleet Foxes與No Age，都是Sub Pop出廠。旗下樂團如Flight Of The Conchords、Grand Archives、CSS與Wolf Parade，前兩者繳出不俗的作品，後兩者的新作雖未超越前作的格局，也還有可取之處。Sub Pop柔軟的經營之道與精準的選團品味，值得所有獨立廠牌借鏡。

至於產業面，數位化、數位化，還是數位化。有著2007年底Radiohead成功操作In Rainbows的案例，實體CD問世前先行推出網路版的販售手法，2008突然「普及」起來。無論The Charlatans、The Raconteurs、Bloc Party、Nine Inch Nails、David Byrne、Gnarls Barkley與Girl Talk都搭上這股風潮。可預見的2009，此趨勢只會有增無減，甚至將從特例變成常態。

實體CD的銷售則持續向下探底，2008再度下跌兩成。反觀數位音樂，2008賣出了十億首歌，較2007成長了近三成，替音樂工業樹立了一座新里程碑。許多樂迷雖然越來越能接受網路購買數位音樂的消費模式，卻不代表唱片行將迅速滅絕 -- 別忘了，過去一年全球仍售出三億多張CD。確實，音樂數位化的大方向難以逆轉，實體CD的銷售只會繼續下滑，但有特色、有品味與有趣的唱片行，若以小而美的方式經營，仍大有可為。畢竟逛唱片行的全方位體驗，不是僅存在電腦屏幕上的網路購物可以取代。

2008也是自己聽音樂最認真的一年。由於工作緣故，一些原先或許不是那麼感興趣的專輯，也得找來聽聽，有時因此獲得意想不到的趣味。整體來說，2008仍維持過去幾年奇數年較強、偶數年稍弱的規律，不若2007那般精銳盡出、強片如林；雖稱不上大豐收，小驚喜卻不少，依舊是可觀的一年。而年度最喜歡的頭兩張，在心裡幾乎是打成平手的，可鑑於2008也是歐巴馬創造歷史的一年，在另一層深刻意義的加持下，最終將首位給了他們。

照例選出六十張，約有四分之三已寫過評論或雜感，點擊專輯名稱即可。可惜幾張年尾竄升上來的愛盤，來不及寫上幾句。不過就這樣吧，總是要將一些遺憾留在過去不是？

哈有我很喜歡的neutral milk hotel(但被掩了臉)的圖。2008年上半年幾乎只聽了portishead的third，還好下半年還是精銳盡出。dear science的霸氣很有lcd soundsystem推出sound of silver時的況味。但是deerhunter一出現便輕易得寵了。
