Velvet Goldmine

Most part of the music in Velvet Goldmine is pre-recorded, including some glam rock classics and newly recorded cover versions; however, there are several beautiful original scores in this film as well. “So it would appear that score and pre-recorded music offer different approaches to the post-production process: one is tailored to the picture, the other has the picture tailored to it.” Robb Wright’s point is echoed in Velvet Goldmine....繼續閱讀

話說pulp.bluecircus.net這個網址一路走來也是篳路藍縷，慘澹經營了一陣。03年底耳聞blog這個新玩意（那時還很新喔），由於才上了明日報的賊船沒多久，所以也沒特別在意，反正只要有個地方能貼文章和放圖片就可以了。但還是隱隱嗅到一種風雨欲來的感覺，所謂The Next Big Thing，blog確實有這種搖滾明星的架式啊。...繼續閱讀

下午趁天氣轉好時趕緊去附近超市採買，順手拿了相機拍拍沿途風光。由於住所前方的馬路剛好是小斜坡，因此聚集了不少小孩拖著雪橇或是各式各樣能在雪上滑行的傢伙前來遊玩。如果撇開這些歡樂畫面，步行在大雪肆虐過後的布魯克林區，還真沾染了點電影【明天過後】裡的災難感。...繼續閱讀

An Independent Spirit - Jim Jarmusch

這次影展的主題是An Independent Spirit:Jim Jarmusch，他確實是目前美國獨立電影的良心。現場的風采非常令人仰慕，雖然五十歲了而且滿頭白髮，但是仍給人非常aggressive的感覺，目光犀利而且談吐不凡。穿著打扮與二十幾歲的年輕小夥子無異，手上還掛著金屬戒指，牛仔褲上也繫著一條小鐵鍊，整個人搖滾至極。聆聽影迷發問時非常專心，回答問題時字字珠璣，而且幽默風趣。...繼續閱讀

緩飆的始祖 - Television

Television獨特的吉他語法讓他們的音樂聽起來和同梯的New York Punk樂隊如New York Dolls、Ramones有很不一樣的感覺。最大的原因之一就是他們喜歡玩細細長長的吉他solo，這和一般印象中的龐克樂隊很不一樣。 不論是英國的Clash或Sex Pistols還是美國的Ramones，大部分的歌曲都是幾個扣幹到底。Clash後期還融合了雷鬼樂的元素，所以論音樂性在幾個影響力最大的龐克樂隊裡算是數一數二的。至於Sex Pistols和Ramones則徹底貫徹了龐克最原始的硬蕊精神，三四個和弦就是一條歌，而且非常不喜歡solo。......繼續閱讀

Farewell 2004

Ambulance Ltd給了Shoegazer樂迷一個全新的出口；Secret Machines把老搖滾的迷幻靈魂重新拼裝組合，帶來的是動聽撼人的新品種搖擺樂；Rilo Kiley可能是這五年來我最喜歡的女主唱樂團，每張專輯都給人義無反顧的安定感，爽朗的西岸吉他流行曲，如此美麗的姿態怎能不教人多看幾眼。The Dears給了The Smiths的舊樂迷們一個新的想像，新的期待；The Delays也延續住了英倫美聲樂派的香火；至於Kasabian、Keane、Razorlight、The Music能走多久端看自己造化，媒體只能抬轎一次，接下來還是得靠自己。...繼續閱讀
