Appreciating 2007 & Revisiting 2006

常跟朋友開一個玩笑 – 每逢奇數年總是強片盡出，偶數年則相對弱勢。 例如"2004":http://pulp.bluecircus.net/archives/004492.html與"2006":http://pulp.bluecircus.net/archives/008958.html這兩年，若少了Arcade Fire – Funeral撐場，論整體素質，的確較"2003":http://pulp.bluecircus.net/archives/002165.html與"2005":http://pulp.bluecircus.net/archives/006846.html年遜色。而今年恰逢奇數，該復出江湖的、該重整旗幟的、該轉換跑道的各方樂隊不論資歷深淺，自年頭一路眾家爭鳴，整個樂壇熱鬧不已。 嚴格說來，除了Bloc Party、Arctic Monkeys與Bjork是讓我失望之作（Smashing Pumpkins與Clap Your Hands Say Yeah原已不抱期待，因此新作的慘況對我產生的殺傷力較小），其餘感興趣的發行物若一字排開，幾乎張張佳作，水準非常整齊。即便如此，能讓我奉上五顆星滿分讚譽的作品，仍只有LCD Soundsystem與The National。兩者在風格與形式上雖然相去甚遠，卻能互成參照 - 前者外顯歡愉，後者低調凝斂。這一放一收之間，提供的皆是不倦人的持久聽感。 趁著炎熱酷暑，我將今年前半的聆聽清單去蕪存菁，列出三十張個人私愛的推薦專輯，同時也列出十張因故遲至今年才邂逅的2006年遺珠。排名依字母順序而非喜好程度，主因是既為年中暫結，而入榜專輯與名次到年底必有變動，此刻就暫且省些腦細胞吧。 各位的2007年摯愛唱片於此當口又是哪些？ My Favorite Albums Of 2007 (By Far...) ! ! ! - Myth Takes Aereogramme - My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go Amiina – Kurr Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha Arcade Fire – Neon Bible Battles – Mirrored Blonde Redhead – 23 Chemical Brothers – We Are The Night Cinematic Orchestra - Ma Fleur Dan Deacon - Spiderman Of The Rings David Vandervelde - The Moonstation House Band Dean & Britta - Back Numbers Deerhunter – Cryptograms Do Make Say Think - You, You're A History In Rust Eluvium – Copia Explosions In The Sky - All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone Feist - The Reminder The Field - From Here We Go Sublime Jesu – Conqueror LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank The National – Boxer Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? Among your 2007 list, my favorites are the albums from Arcade Fire, Blonde Redhead, Chemical Brothers, Explosions In The Sky and LCD Soundsystem.

I'm glad to see you also like Chemical Brothers' We Are The Night. It's not getting a strong review, but I like it a lot, especially the final track featuring Midlake. It's one of my favorite tracks this year, so is Fujiya & Miyagi's Ankle Injuries.

I feel the same about the new albums from Smashing Pumpkins and Arctic Monkeys. I hope the new albums from Verve and Radiohead to be released later this year will not disappoint.

Hm...this reminds me how few recent albums I have heard comparing to the "oldies". It's so impossible for me to make a list of my favourite albums of the year list since I can't even get enough of the music made years and decades ago.

I have only heard of about eight of those albums in your list and about two or three of those I am really impressed with. But then I've never spent enough time with newer music, which I'm ashamed of. After all, I suppose I listen to things many people here wouldn't listen to, which doesn't make me all that credible in a away.

我覺得這些創作人或是樂團除了在音樂上的努力之外
唱片封面的設計也是極盡能事
每一張唱片都像是一幅畫一件藝術品(各種畫風都有XD)

其實Editors新專輯讓我有些失望，自己還是較喜歡他們的處女作The Back Room。

我喜歡不唱歌的GDM，尤其第一張專輯Rise and Fall of Academic Drifting，絕對是後搖滾經典中的經典。今年的新作似乎缺少了強烈的記憶點。

I think We Are The Night is a gorgeous return-to-form for Chemical Brothers.
Alas, they also show us they really run out of ideas from their repertoire.
I think they should call it a quit after finishing their current tour.
I will miss them, but not too many regrets left.

年初看完Mahogany的精彩現場，才決定重尋這張去年發行的專輯，果然沒讓我失望。

Monster Movie的封面是由非常著名的插畫家William Schaff所繪，
他的作品也包括Godspeed You! Black Emperor、Okkervil River與Songs: Ohia的封套設計。
此外，Monster Movie同廠樂隊Dreamend的專輯Maybe We're Making God Sad and Lonely也由此君設計了封面。

Modest Mouse我其實只有他們2張專輯,
卻也是我最近最常聽的CD.

White Stirpes從以前到現在都一直牽著我的音樂品味走.
明明只有2個人,卻可以這麼好聽??!

Apparently, Bjork just wanted to have fun with her music this time. Indeed, the songs on Volta seem to be revisiting the ballads on Post but with weaker arrangement.

Any Dinosaur Jr fan should definitely check out their newest album "Beyond".

哇..終於也有人喜愛Andrew Bird了,他的上一張weather systems連續躺在我的walkman一個月之久~今年的新作也是讓我愛不釋耳.少了個Luna, Dean & Britta也是讓人聽得如痴如醉,今年的野台開唱的artist list竟然有他們,真是太讓人喜出望外.
版主介紹的音樂,都很合我的味口哦~
另外不知版主對於smog的Bill Callahan新作"Woke on a Whaleheart",感想如何?

我覺得這是一張非常棒的專輯
這張專輯裡我最喜歡的歌曲是She Don't Love Me No More
這是一首令人心碎的年度好歌

我在google上搜到的专辑封面往往大大小小，很难统一尺寸。

這些專輯封面我全是透過Google Image找到的，若要解析度較高的照片，需要多花些時間搜尋。
找來的照片大小當然不同，只需利用簡單的圖片處理軟體統一規格即可。
