Do They Know It’s Halloween？
還記得二十年前由第一代Band Aid所演唱的Do They Know It’s Christmas？
當時參與的成員有Bono、Sting、Phil Collins、Paul Weller、Boy George、George Michael、Paul McCartney等人。這張單曲背後的故事大家都耳熟能詳了，為了援助非洲而義唱的Do They Know It’s Christmas？，於1984年十二月十五日發行後，直接攻佔了排行榜首位，於首週便賣出了百萬張，銷售數量比榜上其他所有單曲加起來的總數還多。
它於排行榜首位待了整整五個星期，賣出了三百多萬張；直到Elton John替黛妃演唱的Candle in the Wind問世前，它一直保有英國樂史上銷量最高的單曲頭銜。（New Order的Blue Monday是史上銷量最高的”十二吋”單曲。）Do They Know It’s Christmas？曾於1989與2004年被兩度翻唱，前者為Band Aid II，後者為Band Aid 20，兩者皆再度登上排行榜冠軍。
這種大堆頭陣仗不只流行樂界喜歡一玩再玩，獨立樂界也能參上一腳。
由美國Indie Rock樂隊The Unicorns的成員Nicholas Diamonds與NY Times作家Adam Gollner共同發起的The North American Halloween Prevention Initiative這個臨時組織，灌錄了一張名為Do They Know It’s Halloween？的單曲，不但對二十年前的Band Aid做了善意的擬諧，更重要的是他們邀得了重量級的Indie Music全明星陣容共同發聲，與前輩相比毫不遜色。參與這支單曲的人員有:

Do They Know It’s Halloween？將於今年十月十一日由Vice Records發行，所得將全數捐入UNICEF（United Nations Children’s Fund）做為慈善之用。這首歌相當有Arcade Fire式的戲劇性反差況味，莊嚴洪亮卻又詼諧逗趣，歌詞也相當有意思，你能於官方網頁聽到全曲。
