還記得二十年前由第一代"Band Aid":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Band_Aid_%28band%29所演唱的"Do They Know It’s Christmas？":http://www.80smusiclyrics.com/artists/bandaid.htm 當時參與的成員有Bono、Sting、Phil Collins、Paul Weller、Boy George、George Michael、Paul McCartney等人。這張單曲背後的故事大家都耳熟能詳了，為了援助非洲而義唱的Do They Know It’s Christmas？，於1984年十二月十五日發行後，直接攻佔了排行榜首位，於首週便賣出了百萬張，銷售數量比榜上其他所有單曲加起來的總數還多。 它於排行榜首位待了整整五個星期，賣出了三百多萬張；直到Elton John替黛妃演唱的"Candle in the Wind":http://www.bbc.co.uk/politics97/diana/lyrics.html問世前，它一直保有英國樂史上銷量最高的單曲頭銜。（New Order的"Blue Monday":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Monday_%28New_Order_song%29是史上銷量最高的”十二吋”單曲。）Do They Know It’s Christmas？曾於1989與2004年被兩度翻唱，前者為"Band Aid II":http://eil.com/shop/ExtSearch.asp?DiscArtist=Band-Aid-II，後者為"Band Aid 20":http://www.bandaid20.com/，兩者皆再度登上排行榜冠軍。 這種大堆頭陣仗不只流行樂界喜歡一玩再玩，獨立樂界也能參上一腳。 由美國Indie Rock樂隊"The Unicorns":http://www.cs.mcgill.ca/~abatko/unicorns/的成員Nicholas Diamonds與NY Times作家Adam Gollner共同發起的The North American Halloween Prevention Initiative這個臨時組織，灌錄了一張名為"Do They Know It’s Halloween？":http://www.vice-recordings.com/halloween/的單曲，不但對二十年前的Band Aid做了善意的擬諧，更重要的是他們邀得了重量級的Indie Music全明星陣容共同發聲，與前輩相比毫不遜色。參與這支單曲的人員有:
