美國著名的Singer/Songwriter Warren Zevon，於日前因肺癌死於位於加州的住所，享年56歲。
由於長期抽煙，Warren Zevon於去年夏天經醫生證明感染了肺癌，醫生宣告他只剩六個月的生命。於是他利用最後的時光錄製了最後一張專輯The Wind。這張專輯邀來了Bruce Springsteen，Ry Cooder，Joe Walsh，Don Henley，Tom Petty，Emmylou Harris等美國音樂界的傳奇人物一同合作。
專輯於今年八月發行，Warren Zevon也活得比醫生估計的還久，直到今年九月七日。
The Wind獲得Uncut雜誌五顆星滿分推薦。並是metacritic綜合評分網站2003年度至今總評分第二高的專輯，高達93分，僅次於Led Zeppelin的精選輯How The West Was Won。九月號的Uncut附贈CD中第一首歌即是Warren Zevon與Bruce Springsteen合唱的Disorder in the House。
